Overview

Response time is one of the clearest signals of interest, yet we lie to ourselves about our patterns. This experiment reveals the gap between perceived and actual behavior.

Methodology

Users install a privacy-focused tracker that measures time-to-response across different contacts (anonymized). We aggregate patterns to reveal what response times actually signal.

Initial Findings

In beta testing. Early data suggests we respond 4x faster to high-interest contacts, even when we claim "I just don't check my phone often."
